The new, innovative and environmentally friendly cruise ship of the AMADEUS fleet starts its maiden voyage on May 20. With the construction of this 135-metre ship, Lueftner Cruises is, once again, setting new standards for luxury river cruising: With 5-star travel comfort as well as cutting edge technologies for environmental protection. The ship sails on the Danube and Rhine rivers as well as on the Dutch & Belgian Waterways.
High-Level of Luxury and Comfort
The AMADEUS Riva offer guests a choice of 12 suites with walk-out balconies and 67 exterior cabins; across three decks that feature mostly retractable panoramic windows. The new build follows the progressive design and top-level standard that the AMADEUS fleet is famous for including generously designed public spaces, as well as luxury outdoor spaces. Guests can look forward to the elegant Panorama-Restaurant, the intimate dining lounge with a highlight menu, the Panorama-Bar with dance floor, the classic “Café Vienna”, the open-air “River Terrace” bar on the ship’s bow, the wellness area with massage, hairdresser and fitness center, as well as the spacious sun deck with relaxed lounge and dining area.

Environmentally Friendly Travel
The AMADEUS Riva incorporates the very latest technologies in sustainable travel similar to the current addition to the AMADEUS family – the AMADEUS Cara. The state-of-the-art ship’s engine not only enables highly efficient energy management but also significantly reduces CO2 emissions. In spring 2022 the AMADEUS fleet was also awarded the prestigious Green Award for its strengthened sustain ability strategy, which acknowledges the high safety and environmental standards on board. The ship’s newly developed air filtration system with two-stage purification, which removes aerosols potentially containing virus particles from interior spaces is equally innovative and modern.
Relaxed Travel
Guests can choose from a variety of itineraries to explore the best of Europe onboard our new AMADEUS Riva. The new ship will cruise guests from the city of Passau, which is located at the confluence of three rivers to the magnificent city of Budapest. The 9-day cruise 1,200 miles along the Danube, meanwhile, takes guests from Vienna to Bucharest (or vice versa): a journey of discovery through seven countries including a visit to the Danube Delta.
For all 2024 bookings made until November 30, 2023, guest will receive $150 early booking discount per person on the published cruise rate.
