Successful launch of the AMADEUS Nova

The launch of the AMADEUS Nova at the Vahali shipyard near Belgrade was the first major step on the way to another new river ship for the AMADEUS fleet. After the completion of the steel construction work, the detailed interior work will continue in the Netherlands.

Under the direction of the Austrian shipping company Lueftner Cruises, the future 5-star river ship AMADEUS Nova has just completed the first, important construction phase: The 135-meter hull made of high-quality steel was launched at the well-known Serbian Vahali shipyard, with a 100-year tradition in shipbuilding. Now the AMADEUS Nova will be transferred to Heusden in the Netherlands, where the shipyard company TeamCo Shipyard B.V. will start the interior work.

From 2024, the AMADEUS Nova 2024 will then enrich the European waterways - as the first river liner with a luxury ambience combined with contemporary ship technology. "With hybrid propulsion, efficient heat recovery, powerful filters and catalytic converters, and electricity via solar panels, our AMADEUS Nova is redefining the industry's environmental standards," says Martina Lueftner, founder and CEO of Lueftner Cruises.

Equipped with the usual spaciousness on all decks as well as a swimming pool on the sun deck, the AMADEUS Nova will soon invite 158 discerning premium customers to enjoy a comfortable vacation
