Departure at 8:00pm

During the night you arrive in Conflans, where the rivers Oise and Seine converge. Here, an outstanding golfing experience already awaits you: a transfer takes you to the renowned Le Golf National, located southwest of Paris near the Palace of Versailles. You will play the Albatros Championship Course, one of Europe’s finest golf courses and host of the Ryder Cup in 2018. Enjoy a challenging round of golf before returning to the ship in the evening, where a delightful dinner awaits as your vessel once again glides along the Seine.

Le Golf National - Albatros Course

The legendary Albatros Course ranks among the most prestigious golf courses in Europe and impresses with a perfect balance of strategic challenge and sporting elegance. Numerous risk-and-reward elements, gently undulating fairways and classic links-style bunkers define the varied layout and challenge golfers of all skill levels. Particularly spectacular are the water hazards on the final four holes, demanding maximum concentration and precision even from experienced players. Known as the “French heart of golf,” Le Golf National was founded in 1985 and is located in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, just southwest of Paris and close to the Palace of Versailles. Designed by architects Hubert Chesneau and Robert von Hagge, the course was conceived as a championship venue and permanent home of the Open de France, which has been held here regularly since 1991, with only two exceptions. International acclaim reached new heights when the Albatros Course hosted the Ryder Cup in 2018. Playing this iconic course is not only a sporting challenge, but a true prestige experience for passionate golfers.

In the morning you arrive in Rouen, known as the “Ville Musée” thanks to its many museums and rich artistic heritage. Whether exploring on your own or joining our guided city tour, a visit to the beautifully preserved medieval centre is an absolute must. The tour through the historic capital of Normandy takes you back to the Middle Ages, with Gothic churches, lovingly restored patrician houses and half-timbered buildings shaping the cityscape. Learn more about the city’s remarkable past, made famous by figures such as the Dukes of Normandy, Joan of Arc, the writers Corneille and Flaubert, and the artists Géricault and Monet. Another highlight is the timeless astronomical clock Le Gros Horloge from the 14th century. Alternatively, a short walk up to the Côte Sainte-Catherine, one of the city’s finest viewpoints, offers a breathtaking panorama over Rouen, including the impressive Notre-Dame Cathedral, several historic churches and the six bridges spanning the Seine. In the afternoon, a delightful countryside excursion awaits. On a visit to the Pressoir d’Or estate, you will enjoy a cider tasting before continuing on to Lyons-la-Forêt, one of France’s most beautiful and characterful villages, which you can explore at your own pace.

Le Havre presents itself as a fascinating contrast of modern architecture, maritime atmosphere and cultural diversity. Severely damaged during the Second World War, the city was rebuilt under the direction of architect Auguste Perret and is today a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Clean lines, light-filled spaces and the consistent use of concrete define its distinctive cityscape. After breakfast, you set off for a special highlight of the day: a visit to the stunning Golf Club d’Étretat. More than 100 years old, this exceptional course captivates with spectacular panoramic views of the sea and is regarded as one of the finest coastal golf courses in France.

Étretat Golf Club

Perched high on the dramatic cliffs of Étretat, this exceptional 18-hole golf course offers sweeping views of the sea, the striking chalk cliffs and the town of Étretat itself. The Golf Club d’Étretat is widely regarded as one of the finest coastal golf courses in France. Founded in 1908 by the English, the club’s first president was Bernard Forbes, 8th Earl of Granard. Honorary members included Lord Denman, later Governor-General of Australia, and Lord Wodehouse, Baron of Kimberley. The original 13-hole course was designed by Julien Chantepie and Arnaud Massy. The club was forced to close during the Second World War and reopened in 1949 after the removal of landmines. In the 1990s, Didier Fruchet redesigned the layout, resulting in today’s course stretching over approximately 6,000 metres. The back nine, laid out along the steep cliff edge, are particularly demanding and provide a thrilling and visually spectacular golfing experience.
